Hebrew Language

Students will learn to recognize Hebrew letters and vowels and begin reading at their own pace through the Aleph Champ program—modeled after karate-style levels with fun rewards along the way (see below for details). They'll also begin writing letters and learning Hebrew words connected to class themes.

Mitzvot (Good Deeds)

Through stories, songs, and hands-on activities, children will explore the joy and meaning of doing mitzvot—Torah-based values like giving charity, being kind, honoring parents, welcoming guests, and placing a mezuzah on the door.

Jewish Holidays

From Shabbat to Passover, students will experience the rhythm of the Jewish calendar by learning the history, customs, and deeper meanings behind each holiday—making each celebration come alive in a fun, age-appropriate way.

Prayers & Blessings

Children will become familiar with key prayers and blessings, learning both how and why we say them. These are taught with music, movement, and meaning to help them stick and inspire.

Jewish History & Tradition: The Jewish Home

This year’s theme is The Jewish Home—a journey into the heart of Jewish life. Students will explore the special mitzvot, objects, and values that make a home Jewish, from lighting Shabbat candles to putting up a mezuzah. Each lesson connects timeless traditions with real-life moments kids can relate to, helping them see how Judaism lives and breathes in the world around them.
